What is an Interim Manager?
Interim managers are experienced leaders and specialists – CEOs, directors, executives and project managers – who work independently and all display the following characteristics:
- They have a wealth of experience in management tasks and profound know-how in one or more functional fields
- They can manage complex tasks in line or project situations
- They are available immediately for short and longer-term assignments.
In contrast and as a complement to classical management consultants, interim managers are not focused on gaining recognition for what they achieve but in solving realization problems quickly and in the best possible way for the company. They help companies in circumstances where the required know-how is lacking within the ranks and where it is not possible or necessary to staff the management position permanently in the short time available.
