It has become the main task throughout the business and the most important success factor. The focus is not only on transforming the business model or operational processes. In the future, corporate and employee management will also have to take the requirements from the digital era into account much more than before,&#8221; says Rainer Nagel, CEO and co-founder of Atreus. &#8220;Corona has turned the corporate culture once around 360 degrees, leadership must be rethought and realigned.&#8221;<\/p><p class=\" zw-cgb fulltext \">According to the study, the top three leadership challenges in 2020 were cash preservation (31 percent), maintaining cohesion in the home office (31 percent) and operational restructuring (31 percent). At the same time, 36 percent of German decision-makers believe management challenges will remain the same in 2021, and 30 percent even have better expectations for the year.<\/p><p class=\" zw-cgb fulltext \">Just under half of the executives see digitization at all levels as the biggest leadership challenge for 2021, while 46 percent see employee retention and talent acquisition as a particular task. This is also true for leadership and the challenges facing business leaders in 2021.<\/p><p class=\" zw-cgb fulltext \">This is shown by the new market study &#8220;Leadership+ &#8211; Everything different? In January 2021, nearly 900 top executives, including managing directors, board members, supervisory board members and interim managers from various industries, were surveyed.
